It is possible to participate as a long-term or short term volunteer in the program. Individuals interested in being a short-term volunteer (less than one year) with La Asociacion Nuestros Ahijados can apply with the program through the Bismarck office of The GOD'S CHILD Project in the US, or by stopping by The Dreamer Center on the outskirts of Antigua, Guatemala at Road To San Felipe # 106, Antigua, Guatemala, tel: 8324-678. Individuals interested in being a long-term volunteer (more than one year) with La Asociacion Nuestros Ahijados can apply with the program through the Bismarck of The GOD'S CHILD Project in the US, where they will be asked to go through a more intensive application, interview, and selection process. Volunteers who will be with the program for 2 years or more receive living and some other expenses. All short and long-term volunteer live with local, middle class families, with whom the volunteers share meals and learn more about the culture and customs of Guatemala. With so many children, there is a tremendous amount of work to be done. With each person's skills, there are many ways that you can help the poor who are cared for and educated by the program.
